Mid/Senior
AI Engineer
You are a developer, you want to use AI, you think things through and you have solid engineering basics? Apply. We build AI agents and connect them to the systems of large clients, and you work with those clients directly. The programming language does not matter here.
We meet at the Warsaw office on two fixed days a week. We believe office conversations help people share experience and ideas. We also know that work needs quiet time. You can also work fully remote and come to the office once a month.
What you will do
- Build AI solutions (agents, agentic RAG, Research Agents) along with their telemetry, monitoring and evaluation.
- Connect them to the client's systems through APIs.
- Build PoCs and admin panels for these solutions.
- Deploy apps to dev and test environments yourself, without waiting for a DevOps engineer.
- Work directly with the client's teams.
What we expect
- You understand what AI is and want to use it in your work.
- Solid engineering basics.
- You handle integrations well: APIs and client systems.
- You want to work with Claude Code and know how. Writing prompts and working with git matter more to us than typing code by hand.
- You can deploy an app to a dev or test environment yourself.
- You do not need to know agent frameworks.
- English good enough to talk freely on a project.
- You work independently and think analytically.
- You communicate well: you work with the client, not only with code.
Nice to have
- Experience with RAG and LLMOps.
- Terraform or Bicep: you work on existing IaC code.
What we offer
- AI projects that solve real business problems, not just PoCs for LinkedIn.
- Work with a Microsoft Azure MVP and the Patoarchitekci hosts.
- Time to learn the topics your projects need.
- Patoarchitekci training courses, both open and client-dedicated ones.
- Private medical care.
- Flexible hours.
- A team that values creativity and unconventional ideas.
How we hire
1. Phone call
About 15 minutes to get to know each other.
2. Practical task
Pick one of two tasks and do it at your own pace. You hand in the solution as a GitHub repository.
3. Technical interview
If the task looks good, we talk about your solution and about a case study you get in advance. We look at how you think, not how you code.
4. Decision
After the technical interview, we decide whether to work together.
What you will work on
We solve these problems for clients and talk about them in Powered by Protopia episodes.
The AI agent factory: how to start and reach production
The first agents already work, and now they need to reach company systems through one API gateway and move safely from the AI Sandbox to production.
AI agent factory: a shared platform in a large organization
Integrations are connected once on a shared Azure AI Foundry platform and reused by every new agent that ships there through CI/CD.
Taking an AI agent from PoC to production: a documented process, system access and a decision after testing
Before an agent PoC, the team writes down the process and checks access to systems, and after testing it decides: scale, iterate or kill.
An AI assistant at a large company: system access, knowledge bases and tickets
An AI assistant reads data from SAP, SharePoint and ServiceNow with the signed-in user's permissions and opens tickets through the API.
API Management as the gateway for AI agents into company systems
Instead of wiring up each agent separately, you expose company APIs as MCP servers through a shared API Management gateway.
