Mid
Cloud/DevOps Engineer
You work with Azure and IaC and want a place where infrastructure matters? We build infrastructure for AI apps and platforms at large clients: Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability. Infra that runs in production, not on slides.
We meet at the Warsaw office on two fixed days a week. We believe office conversations help people share experience and ideas. We also know that work needs quiet time. You can also work fully remote and come to the office once a month.
What you will do
- Design and deploy infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Write infrastructure as code in Terraform or Bicep. It is your main tool.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with Kubernetes and containers.
- Roll out solutions together with the client's team.
What we expect
- 3+ years with Microsoft Azure.
- Terraform or Bicep: you write it, not just read it.
- CI/CD: you can build and maintain a pipeline.
- Kubernetes and Docker.
- Scripting in PowerShell or Bash.
- You are not afraid to use GenAI in daily work. With judgment, no blind vibe coding.
- English good enough to talk freely on a project.
- You work independently: you get a task and you get it done.
- You communicate well: you work with the client, not only with the console.
Nice to have
- Experience in a regulated industry (finance, insurance).
- Observability tools (the Grafana stack, Prometheus).
- Networking and security in Azure.
What we offer
- Projects at large clients: infrastructure that actually runs in production.
- Work with a Microsoft Azure MVP and the Patoarchitekci hosts.
- Time to learn the topics your projects need.
- Patoarchitekci training courses, both open and client-dedicated ones.
- Private medical care.
- Flexible hours.
- A team that values creativity and unconventional ideas.
How we hire
1. Conversation
We get to know each other.
2. Case study
You get it in advance so you have time to think it through.
3. Interview
We talk about how you approached the case study.
What you will work on
We solve these problems for clients and talk about them in Powered by Protopia episodes.
Observability in practice: a Grafana stack rollout plan and demo
Monitoring for several environments grew as separate islands and now moves, in phases, to one Grafana stack with metrics, logs and traces.
Virtual data center: offloading your own data center to Azure virtual machines
Less critical machines move from the on-premises data center to an Azure landing zone, where IaC templates create them and test environments shut down after hours.
FinOps is a process, not a tool
Cloud costs get under control with budgets, tags and automated policies, because cuts handed to teams tend to come back bigger.
Observability for managers: how to know the business is running
CPU and memory look fine while the business reports an outage, and observability on the Grafana stack with OpenTelemetry should catch that earlier.
